The 7" base is covered in a beautiful grey/silver satin fabric. The Hortensia on top is handcrafted out of clusters of small white organza pedals. The cocktail hat is finished off with a delicate white vintage veil and a grey vintage bird with a tail of aigrettes, probably from the 50s.A stunner and one of a kind.It is easily attached with a hair elastic which you can choose in black, dark blond or white. When you place your order, please tell me which colour you need.

  • I love my job- making unique handcrafted hats and headpieces with great passion and lots of creativity

My life with hats started in the Mid 80s with my apprenticeship in a small town in the South of Germany.

In 1999 I went to London and worked for Frederik Fox, Milliner to the Queen. A very interesting time, because I learned alot about the way of using sinamay and straw.

I went back to Hamburg, my hometown, Germany and established my millinerybusiness in 2001. For the next 12 years I had a hatshop which I closed to work as a freelance milliner mainly for theater etc. A couple of month per year I work for the Salzburg Festival, Austria.

But I still love making occasion hats and fascinators. And this is a good platform to show them.
