I live and work in upstate New York, near the beautiful Saratoga Race Course, which was, at least in part, the inspiration for me to explore millinery. I have been making and selling my work locally and in upscale boutiques across the US for some time, participating in an assortment of "hatty" events along the way. I have met and worked with many wonderful new friends, thanks to millinery. My work has been featured and can be seen gracing the runway, paired with the beautiful fashions of amazingly talented designers, at galas and charity events, in the winner"s circle and in wearable art shows. My hats and fascinators have taken me across America and back, and most recently, I am honored to be exhibiting at the 2020 Great Exhibition of London hat week!
I share a portion of my proceeds with animal welfare organizations with every piece I sell.
******* With a visual artist Mom, and musician Dad, I've been around creativity all my life. I come from a long line of creative people: art, music and even inventing are all in my genes. ..... My university study focus was photo illustration and design, and I continue to learn new things every single day. I began working with millinery around 2012, and for me the creative process is ever-evolving, one design builds on the last... one idea leads to another and I find that I am forever on to something new! I love blocking, sculpting and stitching a flat piece of raw material into an entirely new entity: a three dimensional work of wearable art! I hope the joy and excitement of my process shines through for you in every piece of my finished work.
